Co-founder

Meet JC, the co-founder of CAVO Fitness – the current fitness hotspot located in the charming neighborhood of Tiong Bahru Estate.

Growing up as a fat kid, JC knows first-hand the insecurities of struggling with body image. But after losing and regaining weight, he found his calling in weightlifting, which helped him escape the vicious cycle and led him to become a fitness trainer in 2015.

JC is passionate about helping people achieve their fitness goals and creating a genuine community that cares for one another. He started CAVO with the idea of combining group classes and personal training into a single training modal that offers the best of both worlds – a “Train Smart Play Hard” concept. With CAVO, newcomers can save time in finding the right exercises and jumpstart their fitness journey with the proper guidance from experienced trainers. CAVO also allows trainers to express their creativity and ensure that more people can enjoy fitness.

Though challenging times arose, such as during the pandemic, JC and his team stayed resilient and focused on their goals.

CAVO’s approach, blending group classes and personal training, has seen success with several customers, helping them discover their areas of interest aside from general fitness goals. This has helped customers successfully incorporate fitness into their lifestyle for the long run.

Justin Chang

Meet Justin, one of our dedicated and passionate personal trainers here at Cavo Fitness. He understands what it’s like to feel insecure about his body and struggled to build his physique, especially when it came to water sports. Justin started working out and quickly realized that nutrition played a significant role in achieving his goals. He became passionate about fueling his body with the right foods to sculpt and strengthen it.

As Justin began to see changes in himself, he wanted to help others do the same. He became a certified personal trainer and started working with clients who shared similar goals. Justin loves seeing the progress his clients make, both physically and mentally, and takes great pride in helping them transform their bodies and gain confidence. For him, being a personal trainer is not just a job, it’s a way of life.

Rah

Meet Rah, who has had a unique journey to the fitness industry. After going through a difficult phase during their time as an art student, she decided to work on themselves and transform their life. She lost over 19kg in just one year and became a sports coach for over 4 years, teaching various age groups.

With a passion for helping others discover their greatest potential, she went on to become a personal trainer so she could share her experiences and give guidance to those who want to transform themselves into better versions. They believe that working out is a form of art itself and that the internal struggle is not a struggle. She strongly believes in this quote “It’s not about how weak you are physically, but rather, if you have a strong mind, you win.”

Tay Zhe

Meet our fitness enthusiast, Tay Zhe, whose journey began with boxing at Vanda Boxing Club. Tay Zhe quickly became obsessed with boxing and spent more time at the gym than at home or at school. He enjoyed the challenge of the sport and the discipline it required.

Outside of the gym, Tay Zhe’s hobbies include working out, reading, and playing board games. He’s always eager to learn and improve himself, which is why he’s interested in teaching others about fitness and reading through a lot of Reddit.
